The three least attended NCAA Football games this week

3. Idaho vs Appalachian State – Hopefully the loyal AMSTS crowd in Moscow, Idaho read the Week 11 games that will/won’t suck and decided to stay home. Given that the Kibbie Dome only holds about 16,000 though, this isn’t nearly as bad as it may seem. I suspect Idaho often ends up on this list. Total attendance: 10113, Capacity: 16000. % full: 63.2%

2. Louisiana-Monroe vs Arkansas State – I feel like I have spent way too much time talking about the Sun Belt this year. I have been to Monroe, Louisiana, and I can tell you, when there’s a football game going on in Monroe, Louisiana, you should go to that football game in Monroe, Louisiana. Because if you don’t, you’re going to have nothing to do.  The Warhawks only drew 9,063 out of a capacity of 30,427. Those that did show up were treated to a curbstomping, as Arkansas State took Louisiana-Monroe to the shed 59-21. % full: 29.8%.

1. Eastern Michigan vs UMass – The big winner this week is Eastern Michigan taking on UMass. UMass plays in Gilette Stadium but rarely draws a crowd, so they probably have the lowest percentage of capacity full in FBS, but luckily for the Minutemen, this game was in Ypsilanti. A mere 2,759 people attended in the 30,200 seat Ryanearson Stadium. The visitors took the win 28-17 in that one, sending hundreds home disappointed. % full: 9.1%. Wow.  Bonus interesting fact, Eastern Michigan’s football team used to be called the Michigan State Normal College Normalites. I guess Eagles sounds a little better.
