2017 College Football Attendance, Week 13: Rivalry Week!

Time again for your week in review on NCAA Division I Football attendance. Average attendance was up to 36,334 this week, on the account of it being rivalry week. This was the unsurprisingly the highest attended week of the year! Let’s get to it:

Worst overall Division I attendance week 13: 2,385 – UNH vs Central Connecticut State. In the first round of the FCS playoffs, UNH managed to draw only 2,385 into the stands, and that seems to be on the high side from the picture below. Luckily for the home fans, they saw the Wildcats shut out the Blue Devils and advance, sending UNH to the second round of the playoffs at Arkansas State. Worst overall FBS attendance week 13: 5,374 – Ball State vs Miami (OH). Ball State’s season is finally over, and kudos to the brave souls who came out to see if the Cardinals could complete the perfect winless MAC season. They certainly did, and 5,374 were there to tell their grandchildren about it. Congratulations to Ball State, 0-9 in the MAC.

Worst overall Power Five attendance week 13: 27,016 – Wake Forest vs Duke. Duke took the road win 31-23 to clinch a bowl berth, in front of a relatively full BB&T Field in Winston-Salem. As usual, Wake’s small stadium leads to them being at the bottom in absolute attendance, but the action shots still show some opportunity to improve attendance:
