Looking Smart at a Super Bowl 50 Party: Your AMSTS Guide

You're going to a Super Bowl party tonight for Super Bowl 50.  You know your stuff about football, but you want to have some interesting insights so that people will respect you as ONE SMART DUDE.  Alternatively, you're hosting a Super Bowl party and want to have something to discuss with your buddies pre-game. We're here to help. Sort of.

1. Let's talk about some football names.  Here's an article we did last week about the most common names to play in a Super Bowl. 
2. Let's talk about some football logos. Here's a composite image of every team's logo from founding to present. 
3. Let's talk about some football teams moving to new cities. Here's an article about what the league would look like if teams couldn't relocate.
4. The game has begun: Let's talk about how terrible the new extra point is. Here's an article offering a much better alternative.
5. Peyton Manning just called a timeout to save himself the Delay of Game penalty. Here's an article as to why that's a terrible idea. 
6. The game goes to overtime (for the first time ever)! The kicking team should go for the win by kicking an onside kick. Here's an article that explains why.

  This should get you started. In fact, for #5, I'd just go ahead and print off the little image we made showing exactly when it's the right and wrong decision. You want to impress the ladies, don't you?  And #6, while it's the right thing to do, I would never expect a coach to do it in a Super Bowl, because it's not the conservative old-school style of play that the NFL has used for years, even if it hurts the team to do so.
