Some guy made a composite image of the history of every NFL logo and it totally doesn't suck
Here's probably one of the best pieces of internet work done in a long time. Someone put together a year by year image of every NFL team's logo into one massive image. Before I share it with you, here are some initial takeaways and things to look for:
Seriously, this guy had too much time on his hands.[/caption]
- The last logo change in the NFC East was in 1996. This is the longest a division has gone without any team changing a logo.
- The NFC North holds the record for longest period without a logo change, from 1974-2009, 35 years without a change.
- The Redskin flipped directions for 1982. It seemed to work, the Redskins went 8-1 and won the Super Bowl that year. It was back facing the other direction in '83.
- The Giants went to an absolutely atrocious logo for 1975. It's no surprise that it was immediately changed for the '76 season.
