NCAA Football Conference Championship week: Lowest attended games

Not much action this week, but still more than 3 games, which means there were 3 lowest attended games. Here they are, and as always, numbers are ANNOUNCED figures only.   3. Northern Illinois vs Bowling Green- The MAC has made plenty of appearances on these lists and it should be no surprise that their Championship game was outdrawn this weekend by 3 meaningless Sun Belt games. Bowling Green took the title 34-14, sending hundreds of fans home happy. South Alabama vs Appalachian State - Another Sun Belt matchup that drew less than your average NHL arena. 12,346 were announced as Jaguars lost to the App State Mountaineers 34-27. Side note, if anyone out there knows if South Alabama uses the "U-S-A!" chant, please let me know ASAP via Twitter (@AMSTS) or on Facebook. 1. Louisiana-Monroe vs New Mexico State - At least this one was close. The worst drawing Sun Belt game of the last three weeks, the Warhawks drew a miserable 7,774. The fans that did show up were at least treated to a 42-35 victory. Miscellany: Biggest group of people to see a loss at home this week: Iowa (neutral site, vs Michigan State), 66,985. Non-neutral: Baylor (vs Texas) 48,093 Smallest group of people to see a win at home this week: Louisiana-Monroe (vs New Mexico State), 7,774. Smallest Power 5 Conference attendance: Baylor (vs Texas) 48,093. Smallest Power 5 Conference home win: Kansas State (vs West Virginia) 52,918.
